The Duke of Edinbourgh award scheme is run by Mr.Price and is avaliable to join in year 9. And pupils who sign up will
have their Bronze award by the end of year 11.

The school has a strong sporting outlook with a dedicated P.E department. We run a number of sports team inculding football,rugby,netball.
Also their are classes after school for badminton and self defence courses. The school is one of the few in the area with
sportsmark.

Pupils within the school are split into three different houses. They are :Caradog,Hafod and Llanerch. The houses each
of their own House Council and 2 members of each tutor group are selcted to represent their tutor in House council meetings
run by the Year 11 House Captains and Staff Heads of House.

Their are also clubs within break and lunch times. The I.T club is run at lunch times several times a week and is a good
place to come to improve your IT skills or to just stay warm and occupied when its wet outside!!.
The school library is open most lunch times and has a nice atmosphere with lots of books to suit every taste as well
as IT facilities.
