Ysgol Y Grango is a small school of around 500 pupils and 30 staff. It is based on the outskirts of the historic mining
village of Rhos. We have a strong link with the local community. We aim to help all our pupils learn and acheive the education
they deserve.
Our Staff
We have an experienced and dedicated group of teachers and administrators. The staff aim to help Grango pupils
with all aspects of their education and learning and work in a friendly way with the pupils who in turn have
a high respect for the staff.
School Life
Our school covers a wide range of subjects to cater for many different interests.
We have a strong sports reputation and are one of the few schools in the area with Sportsmark. A number of after-school
sports clubs are run from football,rugby,netball through to special self-defence classes.
There is also a good computer knowledge base in the school with 4 IT Rooms and IT clubs. Pupils are encouraged to use
their IT skills to assist their class work and research.
